How to play

Guide Fenna through a paper theatre archive whose floors and screens play tricks. Hold up the lantern to see what wakes a trap. Eight short rooms; the real exit is always safe.

  1. Walk toward the exit and watch for seams, rails and warning marks.
  2. Jump gaps; hold the lantern to reveal trap triggers.
  3. Collect up to three optional paper charms.
  4. Touch a checkpoint flag where there is one.
  5. Enter the double-framed exit to finish the room.

The true exit is always safe. Paper charms are optional; deaths return you to the latest checkpoint. Warnings appear before dangerous traps activate.

Reaching the exit within the active-time limit unlocks the next room. The result separates completion, score and medal. Assist runs have their own records; a failed attempt never unlocks a room.

Controls

Devices and saving

Input
Keyboard controls; on-screen touch buttons await real-device testing.
Orientation
Landscape. Turn a portrait device sideways to play.
Session
30–90 seconds per room.
Graphics
A current browser with hardware-accelerated WebGL 2. No plug-in or game-specific driver installation.
Saves
Room unlocks, best medals and settings are stored on this device. Closing the tab abandons the current attempt. Clearing site data removes it; it does not move between devices.
Compatibility
Checked in a desktop Chromium browser. Physical phone, tablet and broader browser testing is still in progress.

If storage is blocked, the game remains playable and shows “Progress is temporary in this session.” More about saving.

If something goes wrong

Use Retry if a download fails. If graphics cannot start, the rules and controls on this page remain available. Leaving the player or switching tabs pauses local play. Read troubleshooting help.

For a quieter session, mute sound, enable reduced motion in Settings and pause or exit when you are finished. The game is loaded only after Play.

Credits and updates
